Following his now infamous Instagram rant, former Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings was kicked off the team.
However, things boiled over even before that post. According to WNML’s Jimmy Hyams, Jennings left practice on Wednesday after the coaches did not allow him to play quarterback, his high school position. From Hyams’ article:
On Wednesday, he stormed off the practice field because UT wouldn’t let him play quarterback. He wasn’t told to leave. He departed because UT wouldn’t let him play his high school position!
That, plus Jennings’ subsequent rant, was a recipe for disaster for the talented receiver, which culminated in his dismissal.
