Kasongo spent one season in Knoxville after arriving as a transfer from the College of Southern Idaho. The 6-foot-8 Canada native played sparingly in 22 games for the Volunteers last season, averaging 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game.
The Cyclones have long had a history of welcoming talent from the transfer market, and they are in need of size with the departure of all-everything talent Georges Niang to graduation.
