SEC Country’s Top Tennessee Prospect of the Week
Four-star running back Carlin Fils-Aime, one of the top prospects in Tennessee’s 2016 class, is SEC Country’s Top Tennessee Prospect of the Week. Fils-Aime had a monster game that helped his team close out the regular season with eight straight wins on Friday.
Fils-Aime gained 168 yards on 26 carries to help Naples (Fla.) High beat Naples (Fla.) Barron Collier 48-14 to secure its sixth straight district title on Friday, according to Chris Mayer of the Naples Herald. Naples will have the week off before its team begins the playoffs.
Fils-Aime also hit some milestones during the game. He topped 1,000 yards for the season and recorded his 20th touchdown this year.
It was a good week for Fils-Aime. He celebrated his birthday last week and received a unique happy birthday wish from Tennessee coach Butch Jones.
Fils-Aime committed to Tennessee in July. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Fils-Aime is rated the No. 10 running back prospect in the class and the No. 41 prospect in Florida.
- Four-star prospect Daniel Bituli ran the ball six times for 78 yards and two touchdowns to help Nashville (Tenn.) Christian beat Trousdale (Tenn.) County 43-14 on Friday, according to Maxpreps.com. Bituli also had six solo tackles, including 2.5 for a loss. The 6-4, 230-pound Bituli committed to Tennessee in July. He is rated the No. 2 prospect in Tennessee and the No. 14 outside linebacker in the nation.
- 2017 prospect Tee Higgins returned four punts for 126 yards and had two receptions for 45 yards to help Oak Ridge (Tenn.) High beat Campbell (Tenn.) County 45-6, according to Maxpreps.com. It was an impressive performance considering Higgins, who committed to Tennessee in August, only played in the first half. The 6-4, 185-pound junior receiver is the No. 1 prospect in the state of Tennessee for the 2017 class and No. 8 receiver in the nation.
