The Vols announced today the season opener in Charlotte, N.C., against West Virginia will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be televised nationally on CBS.
It’ll likely be a tough first test for Pruitt and his team. West Virginia is coming off of a 7-5 campaign in 2017. The Mountaineers are expected to have one of the best passing games in the country this season.
The cornerback situation for the Vols is one of the biggest unknowns heading into the season. The four most used corners from last season’s roster have either graduated or were selected in the NFL Draft.
