Reports surfaced Tuesday that Tennessee commit Baylen Buchanan might take a visit to Ohio State. And Buchanan might be the only person who knows if that’s true.
“He acted like that, but I think he’s going to take a test this weekend so I don’t know what he’s going to do,” said Mark Fleetwood, the head football coach at Peachtree Ridge High School (Suwanee, Ga.). “He told me today he had a great time at Tennessee this weekend.”
Buchanan, who could not be reached for comment, committed to Tennessee on Jan. 1. He took an official visit to Tennessee last weekend. A report earlier in the day by 247Sports’ Bill Kurelic stated that Buchanan would take an official visit to Ohio State either this weekend or on Jan. 29.
“It’s my understanding he has scheduled a visit,” Fleetwood reportedly said. “I’m just not sure if it’s this weekend or the weekend after that.”
When contacted by SEC Country, Fleetwood seemed as if Buchanan was sold on the Vols. Fleetwood said he had not spoken to Buchanan about how serious his interest in Ohio State is.
“I haven’t because I didn’t think there was really any need to,” he said. “I think he committed to Tennessee, had a great visit up there and I didn’t get anything other than he’s big orange.”
Buchanan is the No. 60 cornerback prospect in the nation and the No. 64 overall prospect in Georgia.
