Tennessee defensive tackle Danny O’Brien, dismissed from the Volunteers’ program on Monday, has spoken.
The player tweeted Monday night that he takes “full responsibility” and that he was grateful for teammates, coaches and fans during his time with Tennessee. Earlier Monday, it was reported that the dismissal was unrelated to a scary apparent head injury O’Brien sustained last Saturday in a loss to Texas A&M. It also was reported that Tennessee will still cover any medical needs O’Brien might require.
I take full responsibility. I'm grateful for my teammates, coaches, and Vol nation. It has been and honor to help bring this program back.
