Tennessee added a 4-star safety to their 2018 class in Trey Dean on Wednesday night. He visited Knoxville last weekend.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Dean is the No. 22 safety and the No. 281 overall play in the 2018 class according to 247 composite. He chose the Vols over offers from Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Oregon and many other programs.
Tennessee has the No. 6 class in the country for 2018 and the No. 1 class in the SEC, according to 247 Sports.
Dean joins fellow defensive backs Brendon Harris, Brendan Cross and Tanner Ingle in Tennessee’s 2018 class. Overall, Dean is Tennessee’s 20th commit.
