KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The drought lives on.
With Florida’s 16-10 upset win at LSU, Tennessee was eliminated from the SEC East Division race on Saturday.
After beating UF and Georgia earlier in the season, the Volunteers (7-3, 3-3) were positioned to go to Atlanta for the first time since 2007, but a bad loss at South Carolina on Oct. 29 squandered their positioning, leaving the Gators in the driver’s seat for the SEC championship.
Florida (8-2, 6-2 SEC) clinched its second-straight SEC East title with a goal-line stand at Tiger Stadium against LSU.
Tennessee currently leads Missouri 7-6 in the second quarter.
