Flint last visited Knoxville for Orange Carpet Day on June 17. Tennessee offered Flint on April 15.
Flint’s commitment further validates Coach Butch Jones’ approach to a non-pressured Orange Carpet Day. The commitments didn’t come that day, but have steadily come in throughout the summer.
The 6-foot, 213-pound Flint rates as a 3-star prospect and the No. 51 outside linebacker in the Class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Alabama linebacker head other SEC offers from Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
Tennessee’s Class of 2018 ranks as the No. 6 class in the country and best in the SEC, according to the 247Sports class calculator.
Flint’s commitment brings Tennessee’s class total to 19 this cycle.
