Tennessee senior offensive lineman Jashon Roberston made the Outland Trophy preseason watch list Thursday.
Robertson makes the list along with 81 other interior linemen. 24 offensive tackles, 21 defensive tackles, 20 centers and 16 offensive guards comprise the watch list.
Robertson has started 34 games in his career at Tennessee.
The Nashville native played a key role on the offensive line in 2016. Tennessee set team records in points scored (473) and touchdowns (63).
Robertson addressed his possible move from the left guard position to center this fall at SEC Media Days.
“I’m happy that I had the opportunity to get a ball in my hands. It’s important for everybody in our room to have a certain level of versatility. Over the course of the season, you never know what is going to happen,” Robertson said.
The Football Writers Association of America will announce the Outland Trophy winner on Dec. 7.
The last Vols linemen to win the award came in 2000 with defensive tackle John Henderson.
