KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — While Tennessee is tending to fixing its own offensive continuity issues, Georgia Tech is fighting some battles of its own.
The Yellow Jackets open up against the No. 25-ranked Vols at 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4, in Atlanta’s new Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Georgia Tech has won three straight against SEC teams and five of its most recent six games against the league.
The Yellow Jackets, however, must replace last year’s leading rusher Dedrick Mills, who was dismissed from the team last week.
There has also been an offensive lineman injuries, as Atlanta Journal-Constitution beat writer Ken Sugiura told WNML’s Josh Ward on today’s podcast.
Tennessee, meanwhile, is preparing a special defense specifically for Georgia Tech that has taken away from the Vols’ time to work on their base defense.
Tennessee’s offensive line should be in good position to dominate, but Coach Butch Jones has said the unit is making too many mistakes.
