Tennessee fans might want to tune into ESPN 2 tonight at 6 p.m. to catch some of the Under Armour All-America game.
Tennessee lacks a wide receiver with Taylor’s quick-twitch speed. The Vols will need more big plays next season, and Taylor has the ability to provide them. The 4-star from Manchester, Tenn., native has yet to show off his wide receiver skills on a big stage. He is a lifelong quarterback who is making the position change heading into college.
Brooks seems to be in line to replace Trevor Daniel who graduated and is now trying to get drafted. Brooks is a 6-foot-5 punter who can get the ball deep.
There are some prospects to be on the lookout for in the game tonight, as well.
Wide receiver Jacob Copeland moved Tennessee near the top of his list after the Jeremy Pruitt hiring. He’d be a great playmaker to line up next to Taylor next season. The Vols are trending in the right direction for this one.
Cornerback Olaijah Griffin warrants the most attention, though. He should catch a lot of Tennessee fans eyes. He’s been trending towards the Vols since his official visit on Dec. 15. Taylor has also played the role of peer-recruiter with him.
Tennessee desperately needs to add cornerback depth. Especially since Rashaan Gaulden declared for the NFL Draft on Wednesday.
Griffin has impressed this week at the practices.
WMNL’s Josh Ward and SEC Country’ Blake Morgan discuss some of these prospects and where the Vols are looking at cornerback right now in today’s podcast.
