KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt has a reputation for being one of the best teachers in college football, and his hands-on approach is expected to elevate the Vols defense quickly.
That being the case, there’s a good case to be made that people might be underestimating Tennessee football entering the 2018 season.
The Vols could have — and most would argue, should have — beaten Florida, South Carolina and Kentucky last season, even with all of the injuries.
Now with a much healthier team returning, and an elite strength coach expected to deliver immediate results, Tennessee is expected to tackle next season with a collective chip on its shoulder.
A seven-win season is not out of the question, as WNML’s Josh Ward and Mike Griffith discuss in today’s podcast.
