Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt is looking for an advantage in recruiting anywhere he can find it.

Tennessee football podcast: Jeremy Pruitt pushes for full Neyland Stadium to impress recruits

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — There are few atmospheres like a packed Neyland Stadium draped in Tennessee orange.

This Saturday won’t be exactly like a game day — it’s only the Orange and White game. Coach Jeremy Pruitt wants it as crowded as possible, though.

“I’m in here preaching basically to our recruits the passion of Tennessee football, the way Tennessee football was when I knew it growing up, and playing against it, so we have an opportunity,” Pruitt said during his news conference on Tuesday. “One of the first things I talked about when I got the job was it would take everybody to get Tennessee football back to the way it used to be.

“When I say everybody, I mean everybody. Everybody that considers themselves a Tennessee fan. The way to demonstrate that is showing up for the spring game, and showing the passion for it. I expect our fan base to be there.”

Pruitt wants the crowd to see how his players will react during the scrimmage. He also wants to impress the recruits who will be attending the game.

The Vols have an opportunity to impress elite prospects such as wide receiver Jalen Curry and defensive end Khris Bogle. The Vols also want to cement their perceived lead with prospects Wanya Morris and tight end Sean Brown.

WMNL’s Josh Ward previews the Orange and White game on Rocky Talk. He also brings in SEC Country’s Blake Morgan to discuss the visitors this weekend.
