KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee senior cornerback Malik Foreman is among the former starters returning to practice this week, which could prove pivotal in how the Vols choose to defend Kentucky.
Tennessee (6-3, 2-3 SEC) plays host to the Wildcats (5-3, 4-3) at noon on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in a game with SEC East Division implications.
Kentucky has had success powering the football with a “Wildcat” formation, and the Vols are down on numbers at the defensive tackle.
Charles Mosley, previously an offensive lineman, has been moved to the defensive line as Tennessee looks to beef up.
But also, UT figure to use more man-to-man coverage in the secondary in order to get more defenders involved in stopping the run, so the return of Foreman — along with Cam Sutton — looks to be key.
