KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — New Tennessee offensive line coach Walt Wells was mic’d up for Tennessee’s opening scrimmage on Saturday, a competitive affair that saw two of the Vols’ receivers make amazing touchdown catches.
“You gotta believe, baby!” Wells could be heard yelling during the video from the Neyland Stadium scrimmage.

Seeing Tennessee first-team All-SEC candidate Jauan Jennings was believing, as he appeared to be in the same game-breaking form as last season when he lifted the Vols over Florida and Georgia.
Jennings can be seen making one of his trademark leaping touchdown grabs, apparently from true freshman Will McBride, during the Tennessee scrimmage video released on Twitter.
Rising sophomore Marquez Callaway also had a big-time TD catch as he continues to evolve into the type of playmaker the Vols desperately need with Josh Malone moving on to the NFL.
The defense also saw some playmaking, as junior college transfer cornerback D.J. Henderson had an interception and defensive tackle Paul Bain had 2 sacks.
The Vols return for their seventh of 15 practices on Tuesday, leading up to the annual Orange & White Game on April 22 at Neyland Stadium.
