KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee honored its top student-athletes at the 11th annual Volscars on Monday night, a closed formal dinner awards ceremony.
Tennessee’s football team was given the comeback award for its dramatic 34-31 win at Georgia, which featured a 43-yard Hail Mary from Josh Dobbs to Jauan Jennings with four seconds left in the game.
Dobbs, who led Tennessee from double digits down to win four of the first five games en route to a 9-4 season, was also named “Mr. Tennessee.”
Junior softball shortstop Meghan Gregg was honored as the Co-Female Athlete of the Year along with Felicia Brown from the track and field program.
