KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee hasn’t beaten Georgia in Sanford Stadium since 2006, which also marked the most recent time the Vols beat a ranked team on the road.
Tennessee is also looking to win back to back games against ranked opponents for the first time since 2007 when it plays the No. 25-ranked Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.
The No. 11-ranked Vols (4-0, 1-0 SEC) are looking to build off the momentum of their 38-28 win over Florida last Saturday, and beating Georgia (3-1, 1-1) would certainly accomplish that.
Both teams have injury issues they’re looking to overcome, with Bulldogs’ runner Nick Chubb expected to be out, and Vols’ All-SEC linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin questionable.
