Jason Witten is loved by just about everybody. From Cowboys fans to Tennessee Volunteers die-hards. And with what he did on Saturday it’s easy to why that is the case.
The longtime Cowboys tight end, who recently signed a contract extension, penned a lengthy tribute letter to his longtime teammate Tony Romo. Romo announced earlier this week that he would be retiring and heading into a television role with CBS.
“Most fondly, I will remember a man with a big hear who loved to include others and took a great sense of pride in watching them enjoy the fruits of his labor,” Witten wrote. “A man with an infectious personality and a contagious smile.”

Witten had his best NFL years with Romo and while the two never won a championship together, they developed into two great professional players. The Tennessee tight end will continue on with the Cowboys, with Dak Prescott now firmly established as the starting quarterback.
