The Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball team takes the floor for in the 2017 NCAA women’s basketball tournament on Monday and will be looking to advance to the Sweet 16 for the 35th time in school history.
After picking up a 66-57 win over Dayton on Saturday, the Lady Volunteers will take on No. 4 seed Louisville. The Volunteers come in with a record of 20-11 while Louisville is 28-7 after beating Chattanooga on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, Tennessee head coach Holly Warlick shared some of her favorite memories of her mentor and longtime Vols coach Pat Summitt, as this is the first NCAA Tournament after Summitt died last summer.
“I want to make a difference in these kids’ lives — because that’s what Pat made in mine,” Warlick wrote on why she continues to coach.

- This marks the fourth time that Tennessee and Louisville will meet and it will be the second time they’ve done it in the postseason. Louisville eliminated Tennessee from the 2013 NCAA Tournament as the Cardinals won an Elite Eight game, 86-78, in Warlick’s first season as head coach.
- The winner of the game will take on the winner of the Baylor-Cal matchup. Baylor is the No. 1 seed in Tennessee’s region.
