Tennessee just received its first defensive backfield commitment in its 2019 class.
Anthony Harris, a 4-star safety from Havelock (N.C.) High School, committed to the Volunteers on Friday afternoon.
His high school football team’s Twitter account tweeted out the news.

Harris is Tennessee’s ninth commit in its 2019 class. He joins defensive tackles Darel Middleton and LeDarrius Cox and linebacker Lakia Henry on defense.
Harris is ranked as the No. 171 player in the country, the No. 5 player in North Carolina and the No. 11 safety in his class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Harris was fielding offers from Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Florida State, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Clemson.
