Tennessee added another big man to its frontcourt Monday.
Utah State graduate transfer forward Lew Evans told ESPN’s Jeff Borzello that he has committed to Tennessee.
Evans averaged 8.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game in his lone season with the Aggies. The 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward transferred from Tulsa to Utah State after the 2013-14 season.
Evans joins a young Volunteers frontcourt that will try to replace departing seniors Armani Moore and Derek Reese next season. Moore was Tennessee’s second-leading scorer with 12.2 points per game and Reese logged 19.2 minutes per game as a key role player last season.
