Tennessee linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin held a press conference on Tuesday after it was announced a week ago that the senior linebacker would undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.
It may not be the end of his career, however.
During the press conference, Reeves-Maybin, who has already graduated, said he hasn’t shut the door on a possible redshirt for the rest of this season, which would give him a fifth year of eligibility in 2017.
#Vols Jalen Reeves-Maybin keeping option open of returning for another year …. no decision yet.

Reeves-Maybin recorded 20 tackles this season, 13 of which came in a win over Virginia Tech on Sept. 10. He was a starter each of the past three seasons for the Vols.
