Hall says in his tweet all schools still have a chance but he’s mainly focusing on these eight. Tennessee makes the list along with Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Florida State, Louisville, Arkansas and Vanderbilt.
The 6-foot-4, 214-pound Hall is a 4-star linebacker who fits perfectly into Tennessee’s new 3-4 scheme coach Jeremy Pruitt will install. Hall is long and athletic and can help strengthen a linebacker position in need of a boost.
The Gulfport, Miss., native called his Vol offer “surreal” in February. Former running back coach Robert Gillespie was his lead recruiter until he left the program. It’s a great sign the Vols stayed on Hall’s radar despite the coaching shakeup.
Hall has not taken a trip to Rocky Top, yet. Pruitt and the staff likely are pushing for one coming up.
The 2019 cycle could be Pruitt’s pivotal class with the Vols. Staying in the running for top prospects at important positions like linebacker is critical.
