Tennessee player rips UGA for controversial cut block
Tennessee offensive lineman Jack Jones called out UGA center Brandon Kublanow on social media Thursday for his cut block on Vols defensive lineman Shy Tuttle. Jones said on Twitter that the block that ended Tuttle’s season was classless.
“Just saw the video of Shy getting injured,” Jones tweeted. “What a lack of class. I get playing physical at OL. But that was pathetic!”
Jones wasn’t the only Volunteer to gripe about the hit, which left Tuttle with a broken fibula and an ankle injury. Tennessee coach Butch Jones asked the SEC to review the block that ended the freshman’s season.
Tuttle was developing into an impact player on Tennessee’s defense, but now he’ll have to spend the remainder of 2015 on the sidelines.
A UGA fan tried to tell me how UT played dirty and this is how Shy Tuttle got his injury… (h/t @VolsFanBASE) pic.twitter.com/FRZ1vkgV4V
