Joshua Dobbs is more than just Tennessee’s starting quarterback. He’s also an aerospace engineer on the side.
Dobbs will be spending the next month in Montreal interning with aerospace engineering company Pratt & Whitney, according to a report from the Chattanooga Times Free Press’ Patrick Brown. It will be his second internship with the company, but his first outside the United States, according to Brown.
“That’s what we talk about (being) a student-athlete,” Tennessee coach Butch Jones said Thursday night, according to Brown. “You look at how far Josh has come, and he’s a great ambassador and a great representative for the University of Tennessee and a very, very competitive young man.”
Dobbs isn’t the only Volunteers player taking a summer internship. Brown reports linebacker Kenny Bynum also will be studying abroad in London while taking a finance and management class.
