Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs is known for community service. That doesn’t stop during the holidays.
The junior visited A.J. Cucksey on Christmas Day to provide encouragement for the young boy, who is battling brain tumors. Dobbs visited Cucksey a day before the Vols were scheduled to travel to Tampa, Fla., for the Outback Bowl.

Dobbs has also been known to visit other sick children. Here is an excerpt from the “Prayers for AJ Cucksey” Facebook page, which was created shortly after Cucksey was diagnosed.
“AJ is the sweetest and most outgoing kid you’ll ever meet — he’s already made lots of friends with the nurses and other staff here at the hospital. Our whole family is devastated by this event and request people’s most sincere prayers for healing for him, for guidance for his medical team, and for strength and courage for the rest of us.”
Cucksey has also met with other Tennessee players and former Vols quarterback Peyton Manning.
