KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football recruiting is in full spring swing, with Vols coaches on the road assessing talent and making offers.
Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt said Thursday night during the Big Orange Caravan Stop in Chattanooga that there are some aspects of being an assistant coach he misses when it comes to recruiting.
“For one, it’s always good to get out and not only recruit and see players, but also to see friends,” Pruitt said. “In this profession, you run into a lot of guys on the road when you go out and watch prospects practice ball.
“There may be 10-to-15 universities there that day, so that’s something I miss, the camaraderie that’s involved there.”
SEC Country’s Blake Morgan and WNML’s Josh Ward discussed Tennessee recruiting in this podcast, discussing a pair of Georgia recruits who could soon announce their choice of schools.
