KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee linebacker commit Will Ignont isn’t going anywhere.
The 4-star prospect from Buckhorn (New Market, Ala.) High tweeted Saturday that he is “110-percent committed” to the Vols and “shutting down” his recruitment.
I am 110% committed to The University of Tennessee and I will be shutting down my recruitment. #VFL ?

Ignont had recently reiterated plans to take an official visit to LSU on Jan. 13, but it appears that won’t happen now.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker committed to Tennessee in late October.
A former Alabama Crimson Tide silent commit, Ignont left IMG Academy in April and delivered a stellar senior season back home, recording 131 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and close to 10 sacks for Buckhorn.
Although LSU had begun to aggressively recruit Ignont again in the last six weeks, the linebacker previously told SEC County that he was “solid to Tennessee.”
“I’m not going to commit and de-commit. I’m not going to de-commit from Tennessee just because now they (LSU) know what they want,” he said.
“I’m going to stick with the team that wanted me from the beginning, the team that’s been recruiting me throughout this whole process, the team that I’m committed to unless something changes.”
Ignont is one of four linebackers in the Vols’ 2017 class.
