National Signing Day is barely in the rearview mirror, but Tennessee already got some great news regarding next year’s recruiting class.
On Thursday morning, 4-star offensive lineman Jackson Lampley announced on social media that he’s committed to the Vols.
Lampley is rated as the No. 11 guard for 2019, according to the 247Sports composite ranking.

The 6-foot-4, 299-pound Lampley, who plays for Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, took an unofficial visit to Knoxville on Jan. 13.
He has offers from all but three SEC schools: Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt have also extended one to Lampley.
Penn State and Wisconsin are among several other Power 5 programs to offer.
Lampley is the son of former Vols offensive lineman Brad Lampley, who was part of Phil Fulmer’s first recruiting class and blocked for Peyton Manning.
Lampley is the second 2019 commitment for the Vols, joining 4-star athlete Te’Cory Couch, who made his decision all the way back in June.
