Tennessee isn’t wasting any time recruiting some of the state of Georgia’s top underclassmen.
The Vols offered a scholarship to 2019 receiver prospect Jashawn Sheffield from Frederica Academy (St. Simons Island, Ga.) on Saturday, according to his Twitter account.

Sheffield visited Tennessee on Saturday to watch the Vols’ 24-0 win over North Texas.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder said this is his first scholarship offer. It won’t likely be his last.
He joins Owen Pappoe (Grayson) as Georgia freshmen with offers from the Vols. Tennessee has also offered five sophomores from Georgia, including the No. 1 player nationally in the Class of 2018, quarterback Trevor Lawrence (Cartersville).
