KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee’s softball team brings a 7-game win streak into its three-game home series with North Carolina State beginning Friday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
The No. 19-ranked Lady Vols (28-5, 6-3) look to maintain that momentum and protect their national ranking against the Wolfpack (12-21, 6-3) in the midseason non-conference series.
“I’m looking for them to have the maturity to stay locked in during non-conference play, because this comes at a time of the season, midseason, where it’s easy to give in to fatigue,” Tennessee co-head coach Karen Weekly said. “We’re halfway through our number of games, and as young as we are, it’s easy to get a little tired and lose a little focus.
“We’ve asked them to find that one thing they are looking to improve on this week.”
