Jason Croom helped out his draft stock on Sunday.
The Tennessee tight end took part in the Tropical Bowl, and was named MVP of the contest, according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel’s Rhiannon Potkey. The all-star game was played in Daytona Beach, Fla., and provided FBS seniors the chance to showcase their skills in front of NFL scouts.
Croom hauled in 2 touchdown passes and played alongside Tennessee teammate Malik Foreman for the National Team.
The 6-foot-5, 246-pound tight end had 242 receiving yards on the year, and finished his Tennessee career with 60 catches, 816 yards and 6 touchdowns in 39 games.
Former Tennessee defensive lineman Danny O’Brien also took part in the contest for the National Team. O’Brien was dismissed from the team in October for a violation of team rules.
