COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Tennessee puts its 11-game win streak on the line this afternoon in a marquee battle of top 10 teams.
ESPN’s College GameDay is on the Texas A&M campus, putting the No. 9-ranked Vols (5-0, 2-0 SEC) at the center of attention against the No. 8-ranked Aggies (5-0, 3-0).
It’s the first time these programs have met since Texas A&M began SEC play in 2012.
The last meeting between the programs was in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 1, 2005, when the Vols ran away with a 38-7 victory.
Tennessee’s injuries are the underlying story line, with three top defenders (linebackers Darrin Kirkland and Jalen Reeves-Maybin, and cornerback Cam Sutton) out for the game along with leading rusher Jalen Hurd.
