It looks like talented Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings will be back in Knoxville next season.
Jennings posted the news that he was returning on his Instagram account, which is set to private.
Jennings was kicked off the team in November after a vulgar rant on instagram was posted after Jennings was kicked out of practice. Jennings injured his wrist in the season-opening game for Tennessee and did not play again for the rest of the season. The Volunteers went 4-8 and fired coach Butch Jones. Jeremy Pruitt was hired to replace Jones.
“From my standpoint i know Jauan has reached out to Coach Fulmer and I know they met, and I actually reached out to him because I felt like with him talking to Coach Fulmer I should do that,” Pruitt said about Jenning rejoining the team last week. “There will be a time, probably in the next couple of days, where me and him may possibly sit down and see where things are at.”
In 2016, Jennings hauled in 40 passes for 570 yards and 7 touchdowns. He most memorably hauled in the game-winning touchdown against Georgia in 2016.
Tennessee opens the 2018 season in Charlotte, N.C. next season when the Volunteers take on West Virginia.
