Some big news came out of Knoxville, Tenn., on Friday that will impact the football program.
Vols wide receiver Marquez North is not enrolled at the school for spring classes, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Dustin Dopirak. Tennessee’s registrar’s office and a spokesman for the athletic department confirmed the news to Dopirak.
North just completed his junior season with the team and could decide to enter the NFL draft or transfer to play for another school. The 6-foot-3, 229-pound receiver earned freshman All-SEC honors after catching 38 passes for 496 yards and a touchdown in 2013. Injuries derailed what looked to be a promising career, as North missed time in each of the last two seasons and caught only six passes for 58 yards in 2015.
