Butch Jones’ development of the Tennessee program has come with some struggles along the way.
But Jones has found one fan in his improvement in FOX television analyst Terry Bradshaw.
During an appearance Monday on The Paul Finebaum Show, Bradshaw predicted the Volunteers will upset defending SEC champion Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 21.
“I’m a Volunteer fan,” Bradshaw told long-time Finebaum caller Phyllis from Mulga. “And they’ll probably walk all over Alabama. Tennessee is back.”

Perhaps knowing the recent results of the rivalry, Phyllis replied with revulsion when she heard what Bradshaw said.
“Oh, my god,” she said.
It would be the first victory for the Volunteers over the Crimson Tide since 2006. And it would snap Alabama’s 10-game winning streak over the Vols.
Bradshaw’s on-the-field acumen was openly questioned during his playing career. Former Dallas linebacker Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson once said that Bradshaw couldn’t spell out “if you spotted him the C and the A.”
Volunteer fans can only hope that he’s regained some of his football knowledge after moving off the field into the broadcast booth and television set.
