KNOXVILLE — The excitement is building on Rocky Top, where coach Butch Jones has his Tennessee Vols primed for a championship run.
Tennessee is a popular pick to win the SEC East division for several reasons, and five of them are highlighted in this week’s edition of The Mike Griffith Show.
Tennessee hasn’t beaten a top 10 team since 2006, and the Vols haven’t played in the SEC championship game since 2007, but it’s a good bet those things will no longer hold true after this season, and momentum has much to do with it.
Tennessee won its final six games of the 2015 season, and the Vols return 17 starters to their 2016 squad.
