Tennessee and Carlos Becker seem headed in opposite directions.
The 3-star cornerback from Osceola High School (Kissimmee, Fla.) said he’s primarily considering the schools he has taken official visits to or planned trips to this month. Becker took an official visit to Wisconsin in September and N.C. State in October. He is set to take official visits to Florida State on Jan. 15, Ohio State on Jan. 22 and Ole Miss on Jan. 29.
That would seem to rule out the Vols.
“They’re there but I dropped an official when they stopped recruiting me for a bit,” the 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect told SEC Country. “They’re trying to jump back in the mix after they lost some guys.”
Becker doesn’t seem very enamored with Tennessee, while saying he has no timeframe as to when he wants to announce his decision. Becker said connection with coaches and players at his chosen schools will be the biggest factor in his decision.
