Tennessee made a big addition to its 2017 recruiting class on Friday with the commitment of Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, Va.) four-star defensive tackle Eric Crosby.
In addition to announcing his decision, Crosby also included a note thanking those who have helped him.
“I would first like to say thank you to God for blessing me with my talents and abilities, and my Family coaches and friends for always believing in me and staying by my side the whole time and to the schools that have shown me so much love and blessed with an offer, but I have talked it over with family and coaches and I have made my decision and my new home will be The University of Tennessee”
Vols coach Butch Jones later appeared to celebrate the news on Twitter.

Crosby is the seventh commit for the Class of 2017 for the Vols and the highest-rated member of the class, along with four-star wide receiver KD Nixon. The commitment bumped Tennessee into the top 25 of 247 Sports’ recruiting rankings for 2017.
