Former Tennessee DL Derek Barnett stepped onto the national stage Sunday night and made a huge play for this Philadelphia Eagles.
With Minnesota threatening to score, Barnett rushed around the edge on third-and-5 and forced Vikings QB Case Keenum to fumble. The Eagles recovered, putting Philly in the driver’s seat in the final couple minutes of the first half.

Barnett’s big play turned into another for Philadelphia. The ensuing drive ended with a long touchdown pass from Nick Foles to former South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffery, putting the Eagles up 21-7.
After allowing a touchdown on the opening drive, the Eagles’ defense has been very good against Keenum, Stefon Diggs and the rest of the Vikings offense.
There’s a lot of game left, but things are looking good for Barnett and the Eagles.
