By now, we all have adjusted to the idea of a football season without Peyton Manning making plays on the field.
But rest easy knowing that the former Tennessee quarterback will not be removed from the football game day experience completely.
Known for his humor, wit and sneaky good acting ability, the NFL’s all-time leading passer has also earned praised for his appearances in commercials and on skit shows like Saturday Night Live.
It appears as though he’ll continue to entertain us in that way this fall, as DirecTV released a set of commercials starring Manning on Thursday.
The new series of commercials is built around Manning adjusting to life in retirement, with the tag “It’s Peyton on Sunday morning” set to Lionel Richie’s “Easy Like Sunday Morning.”
Richie is singing and playing the piano in the background, and Peyton’s brother Eli makes an appearance. They’re pretty humorous.
