While some have put Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin, squarely on the hot seat, one coach has already left College Station.
According to a report from ESPN‘s Adam Rittenberg, North Carolina has hired away Aggies defensive back coach Terry Joseph.
Joseph had been the Aggies defensive back coach since 2014, after he served as defensive backs coach at Nebraska. North Carolina’s defensive coordinator is former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik.
Under Joseph, the Aggies had the No. 4 ranked pass defense in 2015, but they slipped to 91st in 2016. The Aggies started this season 6-0 before crumbling down the stretch to finish 8-5. It was the third consecutive season that the Aggies finished with that record.
