Texas A&M will not retain Dave Christensen as its offensive line coach, the school announced Sunday.
Christensen, who inherited an offensive line that had a player drafted in the first round of the past three NFL drafts, served only one season as the Aggies offensive line coach and running games coordinator after being hired last January.
The move is not a huge surprise, as Texas A&M is in the process of an offensive overhaul with newly-named offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone, who was hired away from UCLA in January.
The Aggies offensive struggles stemmed from inconsistent play at quarterback and in the run game. Texas A&M finished eighth in the SEC in rushing offense in 2015, averaging 169.1 yards per game. The Aggies also allowed the second most sacks (37) of any team in the SEC.
There is no indication of who Texas A&M will hire to replace Christensen.
