The host of ESPN’s College GameDay had large praise for Texas A&M athletic director Scott Woodward.
On Friday, Jimbo Fisher resigned as Florida State’s coach to become the new leader at Texas A&M. Fisher reportedly will receive a massive 10-year contract worth $75 million. It’s quite the “get” for the Aggies after officials at the school moved past Kevin Sumlin.
On Saturday, Rece Davis praised Woodward’s ability to poach Fisher, saying on College GameDay that “if you want to see how a coaching search should be run, look down in College Station.”
Rece Davis: “By the way, if you want to see how a coaching search should be run, look down in College Station and Scott Woodward.”

It’s hard to argue with any of those words. At a time when Tennessee has become a laughingstock for its botched coaching search, Texas A&M stands as a program that appears to be on the rise in a big way.
We’ll see if Fisher can live up to the hype and deliver championships in College Station. But Aggies officials have done their part this week.
