Texas A&M improved to 7-4 and 4-3 in the SEC on Saturday night with a 31-24 victory against Ole Miss.
Quarterback Nick Starkel threw for 272 yards and a touchdown and Derrick Turner’s pick-6 in the third quarter put the Aggies ahead for good.
With a win in the regular-season finale next week against LSU, Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin can equal his win total in each of the last three seasons when the Aggies finished 8-5.

Ro Fito Tarin: I’m happy for this very young team and great job to all the staff on coaching up these youngsters.
Mark Richardson: I was glad for the win, but against a truly terrible Ole Miss team, we should have had a blowout victory not a lucky to scrape by win… I’m not looking forward to next week:(
Jill Johnson Shafer: Two Aggies ejected for targeting. The first one skips off the field like an idiot. Not classy #92. You play for the Ags. Second young man no doubt heard the ass-chewing #92 and left with dignity. I bleed maroon along with my entire family. Let’s always be classy boys!!!
Bobby Scott: Looking forward to the day we can score from 1 foot out with a QB under center so we may actually put a game away.
Mark Goss: We were fortunate to overcome all the poor snaps. The announcer blamed it on the ball being slick, but this was not happening to Ole Miss. I’m happy we got the win. BTHO LSU!
Randy Sanders: Very appropriate that Aggies win and dedicate it the memory of our lost and injured Aggies. Good defensive battle
Jesus Elias Alejandro: Mazzone needs to go horrible play calling!!! Defense saved us this week!!!
Tommy Wickesser: Again the play calling was predictable and pathetic in the 2nd half. Two bad teams, one had to win!
Rheanne Fouts Clark: Happy for the win, BUT, Sumlin and his crew needs to GOOOOOOO……..
Morris Page: The $5 Million Dollar Coach outlasted the Coach that’s trying to get a Head Coaching Job…
Don Currie: Need a new offensive coordinator! We should have more than two plays.
