Five players represent Texas A&M on All-SEC teams
Texas A&M finished its season a relatively disappointing 8-4 (4-4 SEC), but the Aggies did welcome several excellent individual performances in 2015.
On Tuesday, a handful of those standout efforts were recognized when the SEC announced its First and Second Coaches’ All-SEC teams. Representing Texas A&M were defensive end Myles Garrett, receiver Christian Kirk, offensive lineman Germain Ifedi, punter Drew Kaser and kicker Taylor Bertolet.
Garrett made the First Team after leading the SEC in sacks (11.5) and tying for the most tackles-for-loss (18.5) as a sophomore. Kaser joined him after posting a conference-best punting average of nearly 48 yards.
Kirk led the Aggies in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches this past season and made Second-Team All-SEC as a receiver, return specialist and all-purpose player. Ifedi and Bertolet (22-of-30 on field goal attempts) also appeared on the Second Team.
