Manziel, a former first-round draft pick in 2014, is attempting to make a comeback to professional football after having been released by the Cleveland Browns in March 2016.
The former Heisman Trophy winner participated in the Aggies’ Pro Day on Tuesday hoping to gain attention from NFL teams. According to NFL.com’s Gil Brandt, one scout reportedly claimed the quarterback “looked better than he did” during his pre-draft workout in 2014.
Hearing really good reports from my scouts on the ground on how Johnny Manziel's workout went today at Texas A&M's pro day. One said he even looked better than he did in 2014.

Manziel also confirmed to ESPN‘s Sam Khan Jr. that he would be willing to play in the CFL next season if he doesn’t receive an offer from an NFL team following his Pro Day workout.
“I’ve blocked it off,” Manziel said via Khan. “I can’t do anything, I can’t stress about it, all I can do is make sure I’m where I need to be. … All I can do is block it off. If something [with the NFL] pops up, it pops up. And if not, if I don’t get the opportunity to go back, I’m going to go play in the CFL, and things are going to be fine.
“One way or another, one day down the line, I’ll get back to exactly where I want to be, because I’m not going to stop until I do.”
Manziel threw for 1,675 yards, 7 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, while leading Cleveland to a 2-6 record in 8 starts during his first two NFL seasons.
