Tate Martell decommitted from Texas A&M and it was not the cleanest breakup. The top dual-threat quarterback left a big hole for a Texas A&M program that has seemingly been hemorrhaging quarterbacks since the season ended.
The one-time firm A&M recruit inspired a pretty nasty response from an Aggies assistant. It was not pretty.
There appear to be no hard feelings though. Martell, who has since committed to Ohio State, sent congratulations to former Baylor commitment Kellen Mond, who de-committed from Baylor and opted for Texas A&M.
Congrats bro! It's a great school, you are going to love it there! https://t.co/f4k1MeHIU7

Fans appreciated Martell’s well wishes to Mond and his continued interest in the program even though he elected to go elsewhere.
Mond is not a bad replacement for Martell. He is the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the country according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
It appears this ugly recruiting moment has turned into a positive and both Mond and Martell are where they will be able to be successful.
