Johnny Manziel’s brief NFL career has been riddled with a variety of off-field altercations. But a former Texas A&M teammate and Super Bowl MVP believes Manziel is improving.
Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller is confident that Manziel, who is being investigated for domestic assault, will turn his life around.
“I’m not worried,” Miller said according to the Associated Press. “I feel like Johnny’s taking care of business. He has adversity. Everybody has been here with adversity. I’ve been here with my own personal adversity. The support that I’m giving him is the support that he’s given me in the past.”
Manziel has dealt with alcohol abuse in the past and even went to rehab before the 2015 season. The latest saga involves a domestic abuse distress call from his girlfriend in January. The Cleveland Browns reportedly seem content with cutting the former first-round pick next month.
